Forty-First Day

just got home about an hour ago
from my little extra work
pretty interesting day actually
lets start from the beginning

so i get booked for the show called cougar town
its a new show coming out later this year i think
buttt before we get to that
on my way to the show
it was in van nuys
so i'm on the freeway driving in some traffic
and i look over
and see a weird classic hot rod type car
and as i'm driving past it
it's jay freaking leno driving it
it was a trip
i should've taken a picture of him
but that would be dangerous

anyway so i get to the high school
where they're filming a football scene
i'm in the little crowd sitting next to the actors
so i figure i'll just be a random person far away from everything
butt noooo
in comes courtney cox
monica fucking gellar
excuse the language
but i'm sitting about three people away from her
it was a trip
considering i used to watch friends all the time
i was kinda starstrucked by her
i think she caught me staring a couple times
i didn't care
she's monica freaking gellar
she's pretty nice too
talked to us and stuff
she messed up her lines so badly
couldn't say one line to complete the shooting
then she got it and everyone cheered
it was cool

the show looks ok
pretty decent i guess
but oh well
it was fun
now i'm gonna fall asleep and sleep forever
buttt
funny people is tomorrow at midnight
who's down to go?

Day 40

just feel like sending out a post real quick
did a lotta nothing today
finally watched harry potter and the goblet of fire
i could've seen it awhile ago
but someone misplaced it with treasure planet
i won't mention any names though

hmm what else happened today
got a lotta sleep in
which is good
because i feel like i'm getting sick
strange because of the hot weather

on friday
the family and i drove down to san diego
to see a george lopez stand up show
it was cool.
he's basically repeating his 'why you crying?' act
which is the funniest show he's ever done

well let me tell you a story
of what happened before the lopez show
well we went to san diego during the day to hang out and eat there
we went to a restaurant called dick's
it was cool
i've been there before so it's no surprise
their trademark is that they treat you like a dick
they'll cuss at you or talk shit to you
it's pretty funny
then down the street from the restaurant was the san diego convention center
and what was going on there you ask?
it was comic-con weekend
so we see all the little nerds dressed up in comic book costumes
walking around the streets and taking picutres
i saw a guy dressed up as wolverine with his home-made claws
i saw the joker
i saw bender from futurama
and some other cool cats
annddd for some reason
hugh hefner's new twin girlfriends had a truck set up on the street
they were signing autographs and taking pictures
pretty neat i think

well that's about it.
hopefully sleep will cure my headache
oh and i just finished alice in wonderland right now
finallyyy
never seen it before
happy un-birthday to me!

Thirty-Ninth Day

good evening...
tired.
sleepy.
lazy.
wanna know why?

so i wake up today around 8 ish
that's in the morning
for a day full of raging waters magic
it was a lot smaller than i thought it was
maybe cuz the last time i went
i was probably 9 or 10

so we get there about 10 ish
its about 100 degrees outside
but it was fun
we covered the park in like two hours
first ride was thunder rapids i believe
jordan tried pushing cupid out of the raft
he failed
then we went on many other rides
the best one in my opinion was raging racers
there's like 8 lanes
and you go down on a single raft on your stomach
it was a rush

hmmm what else happened?
oh yea i got some good news
i finally have a tan line
there is finally a noticeable color difference in skin tone
it is amazing
didn't get burnt though so it's ok

umm jordan's bro josh almost got into a fight kinda
remember the little thing where you walk across the lily pads
and you hold yourself up with a rope?
well josh and i tried to race across it
but some asian guy was having trouble in josh's lane
so he got stopped from winning the race
then later the asian guy comes to confront him
saying he gave him attitude when he was behind him
i guess he has little insecurity issues haha
oh well nothing happened...

so 9 hours of walking around and getting soaked
it was fun
we might go again
some bombie girls there
too bad they're like 16
so they can't be bomb
cuz it would be illegal
or they'll be like 20 something or 30
but hey who doesn't like a challenge

well that's about if for my day
got home a little while ago
rented smokin aces
never seen but hear good things
i might watch that tonight
or just pass out
we'll see how that turns out

Day 38

hello there
my name is brian
the weather is hot outside
the taco guy just got here to set up his station
and i just finished watching a movie
wanna know what movie?
one flew over the cuckoo's nest

one of my favorite movies ever
everything about it is great
great characters
great direction
great story
great message
but wait
it's based on a book?
no wayyy
how could that be
it's true though
director milos forman managed to tell us a great story
that is derived from a novel
written by ken kesey
the only noticeable difference is that
the point of view isn't of chief bromden
but instead of mcmurphy's
still good in many ways
that's all i can say about it
go out and see it
or i might let you borrow it

well today is saturday
very chill week
been swimming at loyo's a few times
gettin tanned
fired up the hooka last night
turned out pretty well
we decided we might get season passes for raging waters
i miss high extreme
that was the shit
but they took out raging rivers :/

what else happened this week
on thursday
i spent all day at the universal studios lot
worked on a beatles rock band commercial
but due to contractual agreements
i can't say anything about it
seriously haha

well that's it for now
nothing else as exciting
we'll see what's up for next week

Thirty-Seventh Day

kinda disappointed with the harry potter movie
not too badly
but not my favorite one
seemed kind of a pointless story to me
the whole thing was a set up
for the next film
like this just filled up space
took up time as we wait for the next movie to come out

the little love scenes were too much
seemed a bit overkill to me
they spent too much time on that
not much on the story
no interest in the characters
the characters that were big in the old films
were just like background characters now
even if we do meet a new character
they're done after one scene

i feel like they could've spent more time with the bad guys
those villains were mentioned in the beginning
and we find out their purpose in the end
but they don't spend a lot of time with them
i liked them
and feel like they had a lot of potential to do
many things with them
but i guess having the main characters drugged out by love
was more important

the film had its subtle comedy
which ruins it in the end
because you don't feel sad by the fact
that dumbledore has died
he was harry's great friend
but it doesn't seem like a big deal that he's gone
and it seems they get over his death real quickly
because they just discuss their relationships right after
but that's just the feeling i got
they also could've added his funeral like joseph said

i thought the scene with harry and dumbledore going to find
the part of the horocrux was great
they did that well
that's where the movie started to pick up
but this movie just seemed to be made
to inform us what a horocrux is
and to kind of bring all the films together
and give a purpose to them
now it sets it up for harry to find all 7 pieces of the horocrux
in order to kill voldemort
which is what he has been doing all along

and we also learn that snape is the half blood prince
but then what?
does that change anything?
is anything different?
or is he just claiming possession of the potion book?
i feel like they should've explained that a little more

but oh well
it was entertaining for a while
then the horny kids jokes got old
regular harry potter fans are going to like this movie
just cuz it's harry potter
i like the other movies better
can't wait for them to complete the series

Day 36

Legit day today
woke up around 5 ish
had to go to hollywood this morning
worked on a show called heroes
ever heard of it?

it was cool today
cuz cheryl and i both got booked
for the same show
andddd
they only needed 6 people
so out of everybody in the bizz
they put us on the same show
crazy right?
i thought so

so we get to the studio
and we go to wardrobe and get everything
and we set up our little holding area
inside a fake room made in a studio
no doors
no lights
no plugs :/

but it was fun
for 8 hours
we played uno, chinese checkers, and apples to apples
i lost to cheryl in apples to apples ):

but it was still cool
they called me up to the set
first off let me explain the scene
it was a college dorm room
and hayden panettiere's character was walking through the halls
then she goes inside her room to talk to someone
sooooo
i played the guy that walks passed the door
searching through my backpack
looking at the bulletin board in the hallway
andddd
if u didn't put it together
i got to work with hayden panettiere!
before the director yelled action
we stood literally 3 feet away from each other
it was intense
she's short in person
and really muscular
she could kick my ass

and cheryl was all star struck the whole time
not me
i kept my cool
cheryl would watch every person that went by
just to see if it was her
and then hayden finally passed by her
and she got all nervous and said hi
then she got all excited cuz she smiled back

it was a good day

i can already tell this post is going to be confusing
just random thoughts going through my head
don't even know how to start

anyone happy with everything today?
no i don't mean your favorite tv show was on today
or you got a free sandwich somewhere today
i mean with everything going on around you?
the big picture
the place beyond your shelter bubble
we see all these things going on
some you don't care about
some you do
it's not important if it doesn't matter to you right?
that's our thought process nowadays
if it doesn't concern me
why should i care

lotta shit going on out there
some good
some bad
some caring
some greed

what can we do about it?
absolutely nothing
wanna know why?
we're one in a million
many millions actually
would take a lot to make a change
also wouldn't matter if you wanted to change
because no one would care enough to put in effort

then we got big brother over here watching our every move
can cover up anything with a few bucks right?
i'm not an anarchist
i'm not anti-american
i just think
i disagree with some things
and agree with others
but i'm just a kid
what do the lawmakers or congressmen care about
what a kid has to say?

didn't mean to get all political
just my thoughts for the evening
why sometimes good things happen to bad people
do good things happen because they work hard for them?
or do they sometimes just get things handed to them
believe in luck?
fate?
destiny?

now i'm getting philosophical

july 8th, 2009
make a change

Day 34

got home about 40 minutes ago
it's 5:30 right now
i'm watching saved by the bell on tbs
i've been coming home this late
for the past three days
going to sleep at 7 AM
waking up around 3 ish
to go back to work at 7 PM
wanna know what i do?

remember the post about iron man 2?
well i guess they needed more people
for a different scene or something
so i called in and got booked
it started on thursday and went over to friday
for those days we filmed at some LA high school
then i had the weekend off
and we continued filming monday tuesday and wednesday night/thursday morning
on these days we filmed at some dam area
it's in van nuys
they have a whole set up there
let me tell you about it

it was fun
a great experience
today was the last day
it was really sad
for 5 days we got to meet new people
and they were about 12 hour shoots
so you get to know them very well
because for most of the time
you are sitting and waiting to go to the set
while they prepare it

you get fed the whole time
once we get there it's hamburgers and hot dogs
then around midnight we break for lunch
which is like chicken fish roast beef and all that

man i'm gonna miss it
made new friends
and i got to be filmed!
the whole scene they needed extras for
was for a crowd running away from 'drones'
i guess we're at a tony stark expo for new technology
and drones attack it
and we're screaming and running away from them
lotta running but it was fun
i had to put on my scared face
and cover my head
pretending there was an attack from above
then iron man comes in to save the day
it was cool
they had huge green screens surrounding us
some explosions in the grass
fun stuff

this extras thing is a trip
all different kinds of people
different races
different ages
there were old ladies running through the crowd
i felt so bad for them
because some would push them out of the way
and for some people
this is their only job
they make the effort to call in
to get paid minimum wage
one guy said he was homeless
but at least he's working
he's not on the side of the street
begging for a donation

the thing that bugs is when
these people think they're hot shit
just cuz they're on a movie set
they're in the freakin background
dont act like you're the star
but that's only a few

once again
it was fun
i got paid to sit around and talk
we played cards and uno
i'm gonna miss it
the food
the people
the cameras
the special effects
oh well... just a story now
we'll have to wait and see
what show i get next
i'll keep you updated
